Shelley has been trimming horses for many years and continues her education. Below is a list of the experiences that demonstrates her passion and her dedication to helping you and your horse become and remain healthy and sound.

- Certification Training with 7 years, hands on rehabilitation training, including working in the field with local barefoot trimmer, Jeff Eddy, for 4 years on a variety of mini's, horses, drafts, and donkey's.
- Books, Videos and DVD's:
- Certified Level III Riding Instructor through the Certified Horsemanship Association.
- Owned and operated a 17 acre boarding facility, offered riding instruction and creative horse-related events.
- Purchased yearly access to the Study of the Equine Hoof by Lindsey Field. Video dissections she explains the form, function and diseases of the hoof.
- Purchased and study the online course by Anatomy of the Equine, Equine Hoof Anatomy Course 1/18/2020
- Purchased and study the methods and philosophies of Thomas G. Teskey D.V.M in his most recent book: Insight to Equus - Holistic Veterinary Perspectives on Health and Healing. 2000

- Purchased and continue to study Pete Ramey's DVD series: Under the Horse: 16 Hour Hoof Rehabilitation Clinic
- Purchased and continue to study Donkey Hooves: Inside and Out. Pete Ramey is a highly regarded Rehabilitation specialist who has been working as a barefoot trimmer for over 20 years.
- Purchased and study Pete Ramey's DVD series, In the Trenches. Which specializes in rehabilitation of a group of horses with a variety of issues including laminitis, under run heels, club foot, and navicular. Pete goes into detail explaining trimming strategies and demonstrates how to help the horses become sound.

- Enrolled in NRC Plus Summer 2019: Dr. Kellon for the horse to learn more about diet, requirements, reading hay analysis, balancing a diet, and how diet influences the health of the horse.
- Course on Arthritis course Summer 2018: Dr. Kellon to learn more about the cause and effect of arthritis in horses. I would like to understand this well enough to be able to apply this to how I trim horses.
- Course on Reading Radiographs: Winter 2018 Dr. Kellon to learn how to read an x-ray, to better help my client's horses when I trim.
- Enrolled in Cushings and Insulin Resistance May 2018: Dr. Kellon to learn more about the cause, management with particular attention to how this affects the hoof. The best part is people who participate in this class become a part of a network of other participants and together we share our knowledge. I to better assist my client's horses!
