Consultation Services
There are many factors that influence the soundness of your horse. I have developed a thorough approach to assessing your horse for the purposes of improving hoof health and soundness. I work with you and your horse, to gather information about management, diet, hoof health, tack and observe the horse in motion. I develop a plan to help connect you with the most appropriate equine care providers. As a team, we work towards helping you achieve your goals for your horse. Qualifications: I have worked with horses for many years as a rider, a CHA Level III lesson instructor and a rehabilitative barefoot trimmer. I mentored with Jeff Eddy for several years, and earned certification through the Equinextion method, Lisa Huhn. In addition, I have completed online coursework through the Equinextion program as well. I am also participating in Daisy Bickings International School of Integrative Hoof Care. Daisy Bicking is a world renowned rehabilitative hoof care practitioner and I feel very fortunate to be able to learn from her. The course work provides important information and how-to help horses with various pathologies. Also, I am excited to participate in Daisy Bicking's hands-on clinic in May 2024 where I will have the opportunity to learn more about using Radiographs (X-Rays), assessing hoof issues and the application of glue on shoes. Furthermore, I am working on my independent study through the Progressive Hoof Care Practitioners certification program. Where I am nearing completion. In addition, I will be mentoring with Christina Kruger and Alicia Harlov in July 2025. Two very talented rehabilitative trimmers. I am currently enrolled in the Masterson Method bodywork certification program and starting field work in the fall of 2024! I have completed online coursework and webinars from top minds in the field that focuses on: assessing radiographs, horse training, physiotherapy, dentistry, hoof function in health and disease, saddle fitting, recognizing lameness, anatomy, diet and more! What is The Process?
1. Contact me and I will send you a link to a intake questionnaire. Once you submit the questionnaire, I will contact you to set up an appointment.
2. I will come out to your farm and we will discuss the questionnaire and I will observe your horse, on the ground and while ridden (if appropriate).
3. Next, I will collect any other additional information such as health records and radiographs from you and compile a report. It will include suggestions and recommendations for equine care providers that you can contact. Finally, we will discuss a plan for you and your horse, schedule a trim, boot fitting and any other necessary services.
Thank you for your interest! I look forward to helping you achieve your goals for your horse.
